Let the holidays begin!

Here we are at the start of another festive season. Halloween is always a good way to start things. Carson is going to be a Power-Ranger, Carli a witch Amy a wicked Fairy. We had neighborhood Halloween party this week. The kids will take any chance they get to put on there costumes. This neighborhood is straight out of a fairytale. Everyone has kids and everyone is involved. The neighborhood it's self gets together for the major holidays and then our street seems to be as active as you can get. We have 21 kids between just 9 houses never mind the houses I can't see from my front porch. Everyone is out almost every night. At times it can be a little much but mostly it's fun the kids love it and all of our neighbors are great. We really live in a place where people are looking out for each other.
Also this week Carli and I went on the kindergarten fieldtrip to Sweet Barry farms. We had a lot of fun learning how to shuck corn, make a scarecrow, and pump water. We also painted pumpkins had a wagon race, found our way through a corn maze and went for a hay ride. And did you know goats can climb trees. Carli figured out that the nuts on the ground every where were pecans and so we had fun cracking them and digging them out too. All and all it was a very fun day.

Chet got a new toy but I don't have pictures of it yet so as soon as I get them I will put some up!

I know it's not summer any more but I forgot I made this so I thought I better put it up before we get too far into Fall.

Top This!

Austin has the largest urban bat population. We have many bridges that house millions and millions of bats. This last Fri. the kindergarten from the girls school went to watch the bats come out. It was a lot of fun and a little crazy with all the kids running around. You can see in the pictures the hazy clouds of bats. Just be careful when their over head they poop all over the place it feels like it's raining. (what's a little bat guano?) Of all the places we have lived (NV,UT,CO,FL) this place needs bats there are so many bugs here. There are more spiders then I can handle. It seems to be an ideal place for all living things, warm, green and humid. Something for every one.

Thanks Marissa!

A little up date

I have been waiting for some thing exciting to happen to blog about but...... no such luck! Just the same old same old. I am really enjoying the day after day of just being normal. Carson and I have been able to spend some good time together and we have dinner at the dinner table most nights and everyone is in bed by eight. It's been great. Chet's Father and Brother were over the week end and they went to the Dallas Cowboys game and had a blast and my kids loved seeing their grandpa and uncle! If you know my mom then you will understand why Carson is the way he is in pictures.
