We had a low-key Christmas Eve just us five, cookies and new PJ's. Santa's helpers got all their work done and were able to get in bed at a good hour (only one thing to put together)!!! We had a nice morning together and then loaded up for the much anticipated trip to PCB (Panama City Beach). We all miss FL very much and have been wanting to go back since the minute we drove over the boarder the first time. I am not sure why I am so drawn to that place I just am. We had a most memorable Christmas dinner at one of the nicer Denny's around ( Think gas station/Denny's/hotel/smokers hangout) I think missing at least one tooth was a requirement for being employed there.

We stayed the night in New Orleans at our fav. hotel the W (Carli still can't figure out why W and not any other letter. It's a Westin hotel but that doesn't mean much to her) in the French Quarter ( that's a place that should be seen at least once in your life). This is the view from our window.
We arrived in PCB to all of her glory on Wed. We had a great stay got to see all of our old pals, go to church in our old branch, relax and celebrate Carson's 4th birthday. It just felt comfortable there. We finished our stay with a night out with our peeps and had a very good time. We can't wait to go back.

I will give TX three years and if I don't feel the same why about TX as I do about PCB, then I know where I am meant to be. We have been very fortunate to be able to experience so much of the country in our 12 and 1/2 year marriage. I will admit I am feeling ready to pick a spot. Maybe we are meant to be corporate gypsies until we retire or win the lotto (I guess I should start playing). This has been a great year with many blessing. I am grateful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his great sacrifice and I love this time of year to have him at the for front of our thoughts and then start a new year feeling the spirit. It really helps to motivate me and start the new year with a positive out look.
My next post will be a year in review. I need to do it for my own records so feel free to skip it (as if ya'll were holding your breath for it)!!!
Onward!
