A Saturday in Texas

There are a billion State parks around here and today Chet and I had a good debate over which one we should go to. Guess who won? Chet, of course he always wins. But it turns out he was right!!! We had the best time. We went with our friends the Petersons the kids had a blast sliding down the waterfalls and swimming in all the little swimming holes. We didn’t even touch half of the park. We can’t wait to go back and camp for a few days so we can get in all the hiking, biking, canoeing and cavern exploring there is to do at Inks Lake. The best part of the trip was that Chet has found a friend who is ready to go home before him.

My Little Swimmers.

The girls have started Swim Team and I love it! I'm not sure if it's because I was a swimmer but I just think everything about it is cute. I love all the little people running around is swim gear. Here are some pics from the first weeks practice. They have made so much progress in just one week I can't wait to see them by July.
More pics to come!!

My Time

One of my favorite things to do is attend Women’s Conference. With the help of some good friends and a good husband I was off to Utah for a few days. It was cold and a little snowy but by Fri. afternoon the weather was better. I love the few days at BYU to have my cup filled (the cup was getting a little low). Most years it is a gathering for the women on my mom’s side of the family but this year it was just My Mom, myself and our good friend Lori Ann. There are so many edifying activities there, Speakers who know just what to say, Service, great musical performances, and just some great girl time. If you have never been just try it once and you will be back. I just realized I have been going on and off for the last 10 years and I am already resigned to be there next year!!! The highlight was the closing session the surprise speaker was President Thomas S. Monson. The sprit and message he carries with him is so positive and encouraging it was a true privilege to be there.

MINT BROWNIES!!!!

If you go to Women’s Conference then you understand what these are. They go hand in hand with this quaint little women’s gathering.

Tying fleece blankets Thurs. evening. This little project earned us some sweet seats to the awesome performance that night. (They give good seats to the people who do service)

My Mom, Me and Lori Ann, we had so much fun! I love spring time with all the trees in bloom.
